    Housing Information
    Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH) is provided by the military to help active service members with housing costs, and can be used for either on- or off-post housing.

    The Housing Services Office (HSO) will be your first point of contact when you receive moving orders, and provides services that will help you with referrals, relocation assistance, guidance for entering a lease agreement and tenant-landlord disputes.

    On Post Housing

    • On-post housing for Fort Rucker is privatized and provided to both Families and Unaccompanied Soldiers. Contact Corvias Military Living (334) 440-8988 to check available housing for your family size and pay grade. They offer three communities with 2-4 bedroom homes. Amenities may include: central AC, garage, patio and family room. The communities feature: a golf course, swimming pool, lake access, Equestrian center and more.

    Surrounding Areas
    Daleville is a small community of just 5,200 residents and located adjacent to the southern side of Fort Rucker. Ozark is a medium sized city of 14,900 just east of post. Enterprise is one of the largest cities in the immediate area and has a population of 26,500. Small towns include New Brockton, Level Plains, Newton, Pinckard, and Midland City. The city of Dothan is the largest in this part of southeastern Alabama. It is located about 35 minutes outside Fort Rucker and is known for being a major producer of peanuts in the country. The state's capital city, Montgomery, is about 1 hour 40 minutes north of Daleville. Other cities nearby are Elba and Clayhatchee.
     

    About the Installation
    Fort Rucker is the primary flight training base for Army Aviation and is home to the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence. The Warrant Officer Candidate School and the Warrant Officer Career College are both located at Fort Rucker a well as the United States Army Aeromedical Research Lab and the United States Army School of Aviation Medicine. Fort Rucker is located near Daleville and Ozark, Alabama.
